These are Bevy Socks by Miriam Felton, and I'm about 4" into the cuff (this picture was taken after the first inch or so). It took me awhile to find the gauge I wanted (I've been fiddling with it since the beginning of the month), and I'm still a little worried that these will be simultaneously floppy and too small, but at least I have socks to knit.
I got to the waist of Devin's sweater and realized I needed more removable stitchmarkers-- I have lots of stitchmarkers, but not many of the plastic safety pin kind. (I think they're ugly. I realize now that they're also supremely useful and will pick some up in the next few days so I can continue on with the sweater's waist shaping... although I should have her try it on first, and soon because she's flying to Tucson for the weekend. I think I'll go do that now.)

Hope everyone has a good end to their week... I'll be wearing a robe and hood. Those things still melt if you try and iron them, right?
