July is upon all of us, and I've decided to take the month to clean up my WIPs and UFOs, either in the spirit of the-massive-knit-along-formerly-known-as-Ravelympics or because my obsessive tendencies are taking over.
In June I successfully finished two pairs of socks as planned, started a third pair, knit on Devin's sweater, and spun a braid of Targhee. I did not finish a third pair of socks, reach halfway on my Willamette scarf, ply the Targhee, or cold sheep at the Black Sheep Gathering (I got some (quite a bit, actually) really lovely roving which I packed away before photographing it. I'll show it off as it comes out to play).
In July, I'd like to:
- ply and finish the Targhee
- spin/ply/finish some Corridale
- BONUS! spin some merino
- finish the orange socks
- finish the blue socks
- get to the yoke on Devin's sweater
In addition, these projects are/have transitioned into UFOs from WIPs, and I'd like to address them in some manner:
- Willamette scarf
- DROPS scarf
- Sport-weight alpaca mystery project
Finally, there are some projects I would like to move past the planning stages:
- Scrappy squares blanket (mine)
- Puff blanket (Mom's)
- MadTosh sweater (which, when finished, will be the completion of the knitting goals I set myself for the year)
And, this month, I really and truly need to cold sheep. Flock and Fiber is in a few short months, and I'd like to go without feeling like an alcoholic at a winery.
